ADD TELECOM SERVICE LLP implements automation projects intended for the entire process, as well as for particular stages at the Customer’s discretion.

Design and Development, Developing and Testing of Prototypes

In case of development of complex customer tailored systems requiring significant investment, it makes sense to get exact requirements, information on the application, investment amount, and parameters of the system in view of its further replication and scaling. That permits to mitigate risks concerned with loss or erroneous estimate of the investment amount, as well as to mitigate technical risks associated with implementation of advanced technologies.
In such case it makes sense to develop and test a prototype of the system in order to obtain information needed to take a decision on the system scaling limits and assessment of return on investment.
The result of the design and development represents a report on the system prototype testing, obtaining of more exact data to be contained in the Terms of Reference for the system development including information on the requirements and intended use of the system, and, when necessary, the development of design documentation for full-scale manufacturing of the item.

Initial Investigation Stage

The initial investigation of the facilities to be automated includes collection and analysis of data on the condition of the IT-infrastructure, buildings and premises, communication systems and channels, power supply systems, software and hardware, organizational structure of management and description of processes.
The result represents a set of reports containing a description of the facility (facilities) to be automated, as well as initial data needed for engineering and detailed design.

System (Outline) Design

In the framework of the system (outline) design the following is determined: the project scope, functional architecture, content and typology of nodes, requirements to communication channels, general engineering requirements to equipment and engineering solutions, reasons for choosing the manufacturers of equipment and software, requirements to reliability and information security, requirements to operation and maintenance, versions of the main engineering solutions.
The result represents a system (outline) design and approved Terms of Reference for the automated system development.

Engineering Design

The engineering design stage includes development of the main engineering solutions, feasibility study to choose the solutions, preliminary equipment specifications, schedules, solutions concerning addressing scheme and routing, solutions concerning reliability and information security assurance, solutions concerning management and monitoring of automated control system, operation and maintenance arrangement, engineering requirements to adjacent systems.
The result of the stage represents an Engineering Design and a set of individual technical specifications for the detailed design of functional subsystems.

Detailed Design

The detailed design of infrastructure facilities and information systems includes customizing of the Engineering Design solutions to actual facilities and functional requirements.
The result of the detailed design represents a set of design estimate documentation and operating & maintenance documentation.

Delivery of Equipment and Software

In compliance with the Detailed Design, which includes exact specification for the equipment and software, the manufacturer of the equipment is contacted to discuss time of manufacture, shipment, payment terms, and warranty liabilities. The equipment ordered is delivered to the warehouse of the contractor, then the incoming inspection and screening of the equipment is performed and the rejected equipment is substituted with fault-free equipment, when necessary.
The results of this stage are registered as consignment notes or certificates of delivery signed by the officers in charge on the part of the customer.

Installation, Start-up and Adjustment Work

The installation can be started after the following conditions are met:

  • the equipment and software have been delivered to the customer in full (as per the specification);
  • the equipment has been delivered to the facilities as per the specification;
  • the premises are ready for the installation.

The installation is performed as per the approved program, manufacturer’s guidelines concerning the installation of the equipment, etc. The results of work are registered in the following documents:

  • certificates of readiness of the facilities for the installation;
  • certificates of receipt of the equipment for the installation;
  • certificates of the installation work completion;
  • turnover documentation and records of deviations from the detailed designs.

The start-up and adjustment work is performed as per the approved schedule and procedures provided for stand-alone and integration tests. The result of work is registered in the following documents:

  • stand-alone tests records;
  • integration tests records;
  • turnover documentation;
  • start-up and adjustment work acceptance certificate.

Commissioning of the System

For the purposes of commissioning, an Acceptance Board is established and the procedures provided for the Acceptance Board operation are approved. The inspections are conducted to check for:

  • meeting the requirement specifications;
  • availability of the finalized and approved detailed design;
  • compliance of the complete delivered and installed equipment with the project;
  • availability of the integration tests records;
  • availability of installation, start-up and adjustment work acceptance certificates.

Then, the acceptance tests are performed and the Certificate of the completion of construction and commissioning is executed.
